I was a medic with 3rd Battalion, 9th Field Artillery, 214th Brigade, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, 1992–1995. We trained at White Sands Missile Range. I am looking for the commo who stood there with me that night. He was from California. I believe his last name was Riojas or Rosa. We both saw what was directly over the M577 — the tracked vehicle serving as our TOC, the tactical operations center, that night.
